AQUACUT  “QUATTRO”

   What is fluid/air abrasion ?

The Aquacut Quattro is a unique new patented generation of cutting
tool, taking the original concept of air abrasion and with the addition
of fluid, creating Aquabrasion, a far more efficient and gentle technology.
Besides functioning as a cutting tool, the Aquacut also cleans, polishes
and dries.

The NEW approach to preventative and conservative dentistry!
The AQUACUT’s unique fluid curtain suppresses the powder emissions common with air
abrasion units from the past, while simultaneously increasing cutting efficiency by
constantly removing debris created during the cutting process. The use of fluid reduces the
need for high air pressure levels, thereby increasing patient comfort.

So how is it used? … When your patient sits down in the dental chair, you are able to
perform a fast and effective cleaning of the oral area. This will present you with a clearer
indication of the patient’s dental condition.

At the turn of a switch, … the AQUACUT changes into a powerful cutting tool that will in
many instances cancel the need to use the dental turbine.

It is a non-contact instrument, there is no vibration, heat generation or turbine noise. In
most cases there is no need for an anesthetic.

POWDER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Sealed, self-contained disposable powder cartridges allow quick and measured refills. An inbuilt feed system insures there is zero maintenance in this critical area as the cartridges can simply be removed and replaced. This system also allows for a quick change between powder grades.
Powders are available in 53 micron (red cartridge) and 29 micron (blue cartridge) of Aluminum Oxide for cutting or a Sodium Bicarbonate powder (clear cartridge) for cleaning and polishing.
HANDPIECES
With performance in mind, the ergonomic design allows for comfortable operation in the hand and mouth without sacrificing accuracy or control. The low resistance nozzle and long-life tungsten tip ensures the handpiece is a high performance precision instrument. The Autoclave-safe handpiece is made more versatile with a quick release system and comes in four tip sizes: . I/ASS8190A - BLUE 0.5MM, I/ASS8192A - GOLD 0.8MM, I/ASS8189A - GREEN 0.4MM and I/ASS8191A - SILVER 0.6MM

Air pressure and powder levels are quickly calibrated through a simple-to-use control panel and a powder selection switch allows instant change from cutting to polishing.
The unique foot control enables the operator to choose instantly any function, enabling all procedures to be carried out through a SINGLE handpiece, thus speeding up treatment and reducing fatigue.
